Transparency and global warming (warning! unsuitable language)

Last night we had a great discussion on transparency and integrity. How does one integrate one's multiple roles into one single authentic identity with Jesus at the center? How do we integrate our 'faith life' with our social life and the roles, vocabularies, attitudes that go with each of them? This is a particular problem for the younger generation as churches are increasingly out of touch with secular youth society.

Here are a couple passages of scripture that we discussed:

Transparency:
1John 1:7 - "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
James 5:16 - "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed."

Just for fun, below is a youtube video of Mike, Chris, Dan and Amanda discussing global warming ... in the second clip (watch for it) Dan takes a long, thoughtful drag on his cigarette because no one is listening to him (I can relate Dansome). The visual is too dark, but you can recognize the voices of the usual suspects...
